LAHORE: Turkish Counsellor General Lahore Serdar Deniz met Commissioner Lahore Division Abdullah Khan Sumbal in his office here on Monday.
During the meeting, Serdar Deniz said that people of Turkey consider Pakistan as their second home, adding that he would focus to promote economical and cultural activities between two regions. There are deep and historical relations between Pakistan and Turkey, he added. He said that Consulate General Lahore would start to operate within couple of weeks.
The commissioner said that National Day of Turkey on 29th October would be celebrated in a very subtle and honourable way. He said that seminars on Pak-Turk friendship would be held and Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif would chair the main event in this connection.
