LARKANA: The district administration of Larkana has imposed a ban on visiting World Cultural Heritage site of Mohenjo Daro during Eid days. Curator of the site Zaheeruddin Shar told media that police, scouts and security guards of Mohenjo Daro will jointly perform duties during Eid days to prevent visitors from damaging the world-famous cultural site. He added that entry of vehicles is also prohibited and no one will be allowed to trespass the limits to save the site, which has already been damaged due to large number of visitors on such occasions. Shar said special gates will be installed from where people will be allowed to enter the site, but nobody will be allowed to move on or in the ancient ruins in order to protect it from destruction.
